Signing up only takes 6 steps and is generally completed in less than 2 minutes.

Verification

Our rural sales agents will perform a desktop analysis where they will check if there’s an unobstructed signal from your home to our tower. Once confirmed, an account is created and the installation process can go ahead.

Confirmation

you’ll receive an email that confirms we are going to send an installer out to get you connected to fast reliable rural broadband. You’ll also find your account details to log into our online account portal.

Day 2 – 7

Installer assignment

An installer that knows your area will contact you 3 to 4 days before he’s available to pick a day and time that suits you. Provided the weather is on our side we will have you live within 14 days.

Day 5 – 14 (Day of install)

Install Day

The day you’re getting fast and reliable wireless broadband, how exciting! Best yet, apart from your consent, you won’t have to do anything

 

Here’s what’s going to happen;

 

Pre-install checks – On the day of the install, the installer will scout your property to ensure we keep each other safe our installer will first perform health and safety checks, and will then proceed to find out which Lightwire towers have good signal strength and line of sight to your property.

 

The consultation – Once the installer confirms line of sight to a tower with a strong signal, he’ll talk you through your options. These options can include where to best position the dish, where to best place the router inside your property for optimal Wi-Fi coverage, and cable management from the dish to the Router.

 

Install – When everything is agreed upon, the Lightwire technician will install your high-speed wireless broadband, with the whole process taking 3 to 4 hours. Our technicians take great pride in their workmanship and have years of experience with all types of houses, so you can rest assured that our work will be top-shelf.

 

Test – We’ve built our reputation on providing great local customer service and blazing fast rural internet speeds. That’s why the installer makes sure that after the install you’re all good to go. He’ll set you up, check the router, test the download and upload speeds, as well as the signal strength to the Lightwire tower.

 

Confirmation – When you’re up and running you’ll receive an email from us with all the important details. One of these details will be your login credentials to the rural customer portal. The portal allows you to change your plan at any time, set up your preferred payment option, refer a friend for a free month of internet, and much more!

Sometime later…

You’re enjoying fast internet rurally, just the way it’s meant to be. After a few weeks we’ll contact you, asking about your experience, how the connection is performing, and if you have any questions. But if you have any questions before that we’re always available for you.
